Classy Competition / Pony Club Super Safe gelding

14.1hh bay tobiano 2011 British Riding Pony

by Strinesdale Mastermind (PBA ranked as one of the top 10 pony stallions in the UK)

out of Flynfield Harlequin’s Grace (by Harroway Mr Harlequin)

Stan was bred by Dowhills Stud in Devon, and was backed in 2017 as a 6 year old and came to us just 10 weeks under saddle. Even though he was just backed and so very green his temperament and nature meant he has been a dream pony for my then 11 year old daughter. In the past two years he has become the ultimate mothers dream pony for a competitive child. Does all PC activities and teams and does them very well.

FLAT WORK: Stan works beautifully on the flat, very soft in the mouth, and will do a lovely test. Dressage isn’t my daughter’s thing but he would be a super BYRDS pony for a more established dressage rider.

SJ: Has jumped double clears British Novice and competed Discovery with the odd pole. Happy schooling round 1m 5 + courses at home. Unphased by fillers, very bold, absolutely loves his job. Snaffle mouthed

XC: Incredibly bold, a XC machine. Schools over BE100 fences easily and has done a few Novice combinations. In 2019 he and his young rider Alaya started their BE journey together. He is ready to step up to 100 next season, having completed several BE90’s this year. He has the athleticism and scope to be an FEI event pony with the right rider. Snaffle mouthed up til now although would now look to ups the brakes slightly if stepping up to 100

Stan has competed on Devon Junior Academy SJ teams, Novice PC area teams (SJ & Eventing), 90cm area Riding Club teams as well as successfully competing NSEA, BS and BE regularly.

He has been to Pony Club Camps, and British Showjumping Camps and is always well behaved and relaxed staying away from home.

He is very trainable with a super attitude to his work. As well as being a cracking, classy competition pony he is also very much able to be a fun pony too. 100% in traffic (hacks on the buckle and can be hacked by novices), hacks alone or in company, goes first or last. Well behaved on the beach!

Up to date with vaccinations, has had physio and dentist regularly. Easy to catch (trots over when he sees you), great with farrier, loads himself, and will stand on the box all day.

Easy to handle, good with dogs, bikes, farm machinery, quad bikes, peacocks. The only negative this pony has is his love for mud in the winter! He does need to be sedated for clipping however which is worth mentioning.

An absolutely heartbreaking sale of this much loved pony who is sadly outgrown. He has the most amazing temperament and absolutely loves people, he really will be your best friend.

If you are looking for a super talented pony for your child to have fun on and be competitive then Stan is the perfect choice. He has so much more to give, and as is the way with ponies, he has sadly been outgrown before his true potential has been realised. Stan has been schooled weekly by 3* Eventer Cameron Beer for the past 2 years and has also been to ‘boot camp’ with him whenever we have been on holiday.

He is fit and ready to go out and have some fun with a confident, competent rider. 10* home sought for this absolutely legend of a pony
